Top brand name cosmetics like Lancome, Clinique, and others are more costly than the store brands like Maybelline and Olay, but they often have huge promotions that offer free samples and even full sized products with a purchase. That is how I have been able to try out a few of Lancome’s products that I probably wouldn’t buy.
In my last Lancome mail order purchase, I received a full sized tube of lipstick and several generously sized samples of skin creams, among them being a glass jar containing Lancome’s Absolute Bx Replenishing Cream.
Description of Product
This cream is a thick white consistency, but it is ultra rich and feels like liquid silk! It is meant to repair and moisturize the skin as well as add clarity. It is meant for women who are dealing with the effects of aging as well as changes in their hormones. To further protect the skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun, it has an added SPF protection of 15. This is a cream for daytime use, and Lancome also makes a Absolute Night Premium Bx Recovery Cream. This product received the Allure Best of Beauty award in 2007.
Based on 8 week consumer trials, women saw visible results in just 4 weeks. The improvements seen were a reduction of up to 85% in wrinkles with regular use of derma roller amazon, as well as improved elasticity and firmness in their skin. Furthermore, 91% of women felt their skin was “plumped” and nurtured. Last, consumers noticed skin that looked radiant with more even skin tone.
Lancome Absolute Bx Replenishing Cream is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog the skins pores. It is also non-acnegenic, so it won’t contribute to facial acne, and it is tested by dermatologists to assure it’s safety for the skin.
Lancome Absolute Bx Replenishing Cream is very expensive, and getting a generously sized sample was a real treat! This cream sells for $115 for a 1.7 ounce container! It also comes in a 2.6 ounce size for $140 or a 7 ounce size for $300. Obviously, if this is a cream you can’t live without and you have deep pockets, the largest container is by far the cheapest per ounce, and is the way to go.
What a luxurious face cream this is! I have sensitive skin, especially on my face, and many face creams leave my face slightly red, and many scents really bother my sinus cavities. I have no issues with this one at all, it glides so smoothly on my face, absorbing immediately with absolutely NO greasiness whatsoever. The cream does have a very light scent, but it’s floral, and it smells expensive. If you have ever been to a spa and had a facial, you probably know what I mean when I say this smells expensive.
According to Lancome, Pro-Xylane is a patented scientific breakthrough. It contains a molecule that restores essential moisture deep in the structure of skin’s surface. The result is more youthful looking skin.
Because I do have a skin condition called Melasma, which is a hormone related condition that leaves dark spots on my face (they look similar to age spots), I now understand what a company means when they say their products are meant for women who have aging skin, as well as skin dealing with hormonal changes. A few months ago I would have read that and not fully understand what it meant, but now it’s very clear. I believe this cream helps fade those spots, as well as providing me with a sunscreen to protect my skin from further damage. My dermatologist strongly advised me to wear sunscreen every day and I appreciate it immensely when face creams also contain sunscreen protection!
Among the ingredients in the Lancome Absolute BX Replenishing Cream are wild yam, soy, sea algae, and barley. Lancome is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands of cosmetics, and I wish I had the money to buy this product in it’s full sized version when my large sample size runs out. If I could afford the cost, I would definitely make this a part of my morning routine. It’s a fantastic product that has done for me exactly what it claims. My face feels soft, moisturized, nourished, and the tone has indeed evened out making my face appear younger. It’s not often a product lives up to all of it’s claims, but this one does!
